The A-1H Skyraider was an American single-engine carrier-based attack aircraft, originally designated AD-6, developed by Douglas Aircraft Company. Designed for close air support and attack missions, it featured a Wright R-3350 radial engine, a single-seat cockpit and 15 external hardpoints for carrying bombs, rockets, missiles and other weapons. It entered US Navy service in 1953 and remained in American service until 1973.
