The F-22 Raptor entered US Air Force operational service in 2005 as a twin-engine, fifth-generation air-superiority fighter. It combines stealth, supercruise, thrust-vectoring and integrated sensors, while also possessing a limited precision-strike capability. Production ended in 2012, but the aircraft remains in active US Air Force service.
