The Mirage 2000 entered French service in 1984 as a single-engine interceptor, with later variants developed for strike and multirole operations. Although production ended in 2007, upgraded Mirage 2000s remain operational with France and several export customers, including India, Greece, Taiwan and the United Arab Emirates.
