Aircraft 66-0177 took part in Operation Homecoming in February 1973, departing Gia Lam Airport in Hanoi with the first group of American prisoners of war. Built as a C-141A, it was later upgraded to C-141B and then C-141C configuration, accumulating more than 40,000 flight hours before its retirement on 6 May 2006. Today, the aircraft is preserved on permanent static display at the National Museum of the United States Air Force near Dayton, Ohio.
