The F-102 Delta Dagger was an American single-engine supersonic interceptor developed by Convair. Designed for all-weather interception of high-altitude bombers, it featured a delta wing, an internal weapons bay and a fire-control system designed to guide air-to-air missiles. It entered US Air Force service in 1956 and remained in American service until 1979.
