The Royal Moroccan Air Force (RMAF) became the 25th operator of the F-16 Fighting Falcon, receiving its first F-16C/D Block 52+ aircraft in 2011. This acquisition marked a significant enhancement in Morocco's air combat capabilities. The fleet was expanded with an additional 25 F-16C/D Block 72 aircraft, approved in 2019, featuring advanced avionics and weapons systems.

Moroccan F-16s have been actively involved in international operations, including Operation Inherent Resolve against ISIS in Syria and Iraq, and the Saudi-led intervention in Yemen. These deployments underscore Morocco's strategic role in regional security. 

In 2025, Morocco joined the global F-16 production chain, establishing a manufacturing facility in Nouaceur, near Casablanca. This move reflects Morocco's growing defense industry capabilities and its commitment to modernizing its military assets.
