The Royal Air Force introduced the Eurofighter Typhoon in 2003, initially as an air-superiority fighter to replace the Tornado F3. Over time, it was upgraded into a true multirole platform, capable of precision strike, reconnaissance, and close air support while retaining world-class dogfighting performance.

RAF Typhoons have seen active service in air policing missions over the UK and Baltic states, as well as in combat operations over Libya (2011) and against ISIS in the Middle East. With continuous upgrades in radar, weapons, and avionics, the Typhoon remains the RAF’s frontline fighter, serving alongside the F-35B Lightning II as part of the UK’s future combat air strategy.
